Facilities at The Willows

The Willows offers a range of facilities for residents to access. We also host a variety of events and activities. Take a look at what the Willows Community has to offer and the activities we put on.

Community areas

The four spacious lounges, with comfortable furnishings, TV’s and entertainment systems, are used to host our residents’ activities, entertainment and social gatherings arranged by our Activities Organiser. Relatives may also be entertained privately in the Library Day Room. Our Conservatory Lounge is also available for meetings and private family celebrations.

Bedrooms

Recognising some residents prefer the independence of a single room whilst others prefer the companionship of shared accommodation, the Willows offers 27 single bedrooms and 14 companion rooms – the majority having en-suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms more homely by introducing their own items of furniture (with the needed safety requirements i.e. fire), ornaments, pictures.

Recreation

We offer wifi access through tablets for our residents with a dedicated computer station also available. Training is offered if needed so residents can stay in touch with loved ones.

Our dementia garden offers a secure and independently accessible outdoor space for residents to enjoy the fresh air, whilst maintaining their safety.

Catering at The Willows

Home-cooked meals are prepared by our qualified and experienced catering team in our professional kitchen. We offer a daily choice of well balanced and varied menus, prepared in consultation with our residents to meet special dietary requirements as well as individual preferences. Birthdays and special occasions are commemorated in style with birthday tea and celebration cake.

There are also three kitchenettes located throughout the home, where residents can prepare their own snacks and drinks should they wish.

Food Hygiene

The Willows has consistently held the top award from the Leicestershire Environmental Health Service in recognition of the highest standards of food preparation and catering facilities.

We try to support local businesses wherever we can, ensuring our food is as locally sourced as it can be. We are proud to have much of our food supplied by Farndon Fields Farm Shop in Market Harborough and Joseph Morris Butchers. Ensuring our produce is as locally sourced as it can be. The farm shop is situated just a couple of minutes drive away…
