Jackie Riddett RGN, MSc. (Health Studies), BSc. Hons (Nursing Studies), LLB, DPSN, NVQ Assessor D32/33
Jackie has over 30 year’s experience in nursing and is a passionate advocate for quality care home care. Starting her nursing career in Coventry Hospitals working for the NHS in 1983, Jackie made the move to Residential and Nursing care to join the family team at The Willows in 1987. Today, Jackie manages the day-to-day running of The Willows. She is also involved with various networks including being a committee member of the Royal College of Nursing and a National Council member of the Registered Nursing Home Association, where she helps to influence the policies surrounding care.
Our team is made up of a support network of senior nurses and experienced care assistants.
We pride ourselves on the low turnover and stability of our staff, with the average individual length of service across the team in excess of over 8 years. Some of our senior staff have been with us over 30 years. The home employs over 50 qualified and experienced First Level Qualified Nurses, Care Assistants, Catering and Ancillary Staff. Our House-keeping team ensures we consistently exceed expectations with the standards of cleanliness throughout the home. A full-time Secretary and Administrator, as well as a Training & Personnel Manager, complete the team.
Emphasis is placed on the selection and training of our staff, who are offered a full induction programme. Our Registered Nurses are up-dated with professional courses and other training. Over 75% of the home’s Care Team are qualified at NVQ Level 2 and Level 3. All care staff receive training in dementia care.
Working with the University College of Northampton, The Willows Nursing and Residential Home is an approved Centre of Excellence to provide training and experience for nursing students from the University of Northampton School of Nursing.
